The Gardens

Visits to Nemours Estate are self-paced and self-guided. Trained, interpretive staff members are located in select locations of Nemours Mansion and Chauffeur’s Garage to orient visitors, share information and answer questions; informational and way-finding signs are located throughout the property, and maps of the gardens and grounds are available at the Visitor Center and throughout the property.

Shuttle buses run between the Visitor Center and Nemours Mansion, and also take visitors around the property with designated stops and pick-up points.

As a family-friendly facility, Nemours Estate welcomes visitors of all ages. However, children 16 and under must be accompanied by a parent or other adult at all times. For security reasons, our staff cannot chaperone or watch children.

Nemours Mansion is ADA-accessible, as are the paved roads which run through the property; however, the gardens and grounds are not. Lift-equipped shuttle buses are available.

You are welcome to use your personal camera or cellphone to take photographs at Nemours Estate, including inside Nemours Mansion and other buildings. However, out of consideration for other guests and the security of our collections, we do not allow flash units, tripods, "selfie sticks" or other assistive devices to be used in the Mansion or other buildings. Professional and/or commercial photography may be allowed under special circumstances. All arrangements for such photography must be made and approved in advance. Please contact our Guest Services & Events Supervisor to make arrangements or for further information.

Pets are not allowed on Nemours Estate, but service animals, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act and appropriate regulations, are permitted if such animals are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for individuals with disabilities.

We are committed to providing each and every visitor with a quality experience. If you have concerns, questions, or need special assistance, please contact the Visitor Center at (302) 651-6913.
